Posting Screen shots

To ensure that justice is served, you will need to make sure that you know how to take a screen shot. Moderators will often ask for screen shots as evidence of the given players offence.

To take a screen shot, you will need to locate your "Print Screen" key, on your keyboard. Make sure, that the correct information is being displayed on the screen (evidence of the player violating the rules), and then open up a program such as Microsoft Paint. From here, use the Ctrl + V keys to paste the screen shot. Feel free to crop the image so it only displays the vital information, but this is not necessary.

Save the image somewhere onto your computer. Now, go to sites such as ImageShack.us and upload the image. From sites like imageshack, you will be able to host the image, and get a URL for it. This URL will make it so that other people will be able to view the image.
Once you have the URL of the image, it's just a matter of opening up Rebellion and posting the link, so moderators can take a look.

Reporting Another User (In game)

Through out your time on Rebellion, you are more then likely going to encounter players that do not wish to follow the rules. This may involve being abusive towards you, or other players, using glitches in game, or even impersonating a staff member.
If you come across an issue like this, to get the best possible result, you will want to take a screen shot.
Refer to the post #2 for details on how to post a screen shot.

Please make sure you check our site rule list (link located on the main page) to ensure that the user has in fact broken a rule. Although in some situations, it may not be so clear as to if a player is breaking a rule or not. If you have checked the rule list and are still unsure if the player needs to be reported, ask either on the forum, or ask an online staff member.

Now that you're positive the player needs to be reported, you have two options!

Option #1.

Use the Report Abuse button in game, enter in the given players username and then click the corresponding report reason. If you are unsure of which reason the report should go under, make sure you explain your uncertainty to the staff member that addresses the issue.

Option #2.

Get your screen shot ready, and then head over to the Report an Abuse forum. Here, you will be able to just post a topic. Make sure you include your screen shot, the details of the events which occurred, and the correct user name of each player involved in the issue.

From this point, a staff member will address whatever issue you have reported. They will inform you if the evidence is sufficient, and if the user will be punished or not.

Misplaced topics

Now reporting topics.

There's a few reasons why you can report a topic. The most common, being because a topic has been posted in the incorrect forum.
To keep the forums clean, we would like to encourage users to report any topics that are in the incorrect forum.
Another reason, can be if a topic needs to be closed, due to arguments, spam, or if a question has been answered.

To report a topic or post on the forum there are a couple of report buttons handy on every page.
If you want to report the topic itself, use the Report button(which will be added soon), located at the bottom left hand corner of the initial post.
Much the same as reporting the topic, if you need to report a players individual post on the topic, there are report buttons at the bottom left corner of each post.
Click the corresponding button, and make sure you give a valid reason as to why you're reporting the post.

If you request a topic lock, or move, please no not leave responses like "needs to be locked" or "please lock the topic". You need to give reason as to why the topic needs to be locked.

Reporting a hacked account

One of the most common issues for an admin to have to deal with. A player claiming they need an account recovered.
Before you report stolen items, there are a few things you need to remember when asking an admin to spawn you things.

Admins can only replace items that we have proof existed, and that were stolen. We can not just take word-of-mouth as evidence. If we did that, anyone could come up to us with a story of stolen items.
As horrible as it is to lose your items, we need to ensure that we ourself, do not get scammed into giving away items.

When recovering an account, we will only be able to recover an account if the IP address from your current account matches up with the IP address of the stolen account. The best way to ensure that the addresses match, is to be active on the forum with all your current accounts, at one stage or another.
This way, we can track your IP records through your posts, votes in polls, and registration records.

Now, if you have an issue with recovering an account, here's what you will need to do.

Post a report in the Account Help forum. All you need to include in a report like this, is the name of the stolen account, when you last had access to the account.
A site admin will normally have to look at this themselves. The admin control panel is normally more comprehensive then any resources the site moderators have.
If the details for the accounts match up, then we will be able to change the account details so you once again have access to the account.

Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Sometimes, if you have not posted on the account, and you registered the account under a different IP address, then we will not be able to ensure that you are the rightful owner of the account, and therefor, can not recover the account for you.

We try to help as many players as possible, so help us help you, by posting a proper report, displaying the correct information.

PLEASE NOTE: Account hacking can be a result of handing out your password to untrustworthy players, not using middle men with trades, downloading untrustworthy software from the internet and infecting your computer with spyware and also, sharing accounts.

Notes from the Players

Thanks for taking the time to read through this guide to reporting. Hopefully it will help you learn how to properly report a player, or an issue that you have encountered, to ensure that you make the most of your time with Rebellion.
We get a lot of players, who really do not take care of there account. This includes people who willingly give their password out in good faith that another user will perform a certain deed on their account, not using middle men when buying/selling accounts, and sharing accounts with people who they are not familiar with.

Please take care of your account. Don't let your account get stolen because you've been impatient or careless.
If you have any further questions, feel free to private message an online staff member.
